From SFO / the South Bay via Highway 101:

Take 101 North to the intersection with I-280.
Follow I-280 North, exit at King Street.
Follow King Street past AT&T Park and stay on it as it becomes The Embarcadero.
Pass under the Bay Bridge and continue for 3 more lights until The Embarcadero intersects with Howard Street.
Turn left on Howard Street and go 3 blocks to Main Street.
Turn right on Main Street and go 2 blocks toward Market Street.
Stay to the right in order to cross over Market Street, where Main Street now becomes Drumm Street.
Immediately after crossing Market Street, turn left onto California Street.
One California Street is on the left at the next intersection, which is Davis Street.

From the South Bay via Interstate 280:

Take I-280 North to I-380 and follow I-380 East.
Exit I-380 East onto Highway 101 North.
Exit Highway 101 North onto I-280 North.
Follow I-280 North, exit at King Street.
Follow King Street past AT&T Park and stay on it as it becomes The Embarcadero.
Pass under the Bay Bridge and continue for 3 more lights until The Embarcadero intersects with Howard Street.
Turn left on Howard Street and go 3 blocks to Main Street.
Turn Right on Main Street and go 2 blocks toward Market Street.
Stay to the right in order to cross over Market Street, where Main Street now becomes Drumm Street.
Immediately after crossing Market Street, turn left onto California Street.
One California Street is on the left at the next intersection, which is Davis Street.

From Sacramento / Oakland / the East Bay via the Bay Bridge (I-80):

Proceed to the entrance to the Bay Bridge plaza either from the South (using I-880), from the East (using I-580) or from the North (using I-80).
Follow the Bay Bridge / I-80 West toward San Francisco, exit at the Fremont Street exit, the first exit on your right.
Follow the exit ramp all the way down and around to the right, and then turn left at the bottom of the ramp onto Fremont Street.
Stay on Fremont Street through 3 major intersections and cross over Market Street, where Fremont Street now becomes Front Street.
Pass through the intersection at Pine Street and then turn right at the next intersection, which is California Street.
One California Street is ahead on your right, just past the next intersection, which is Davis Street.

From the North Bay via Highway 101:

Take Highway 101 South across the Golden Gate Bridge, and continue following 101 South by following the signs for Lombard Street.
Take 101 South / Lombard Street East through several lights until you reach Van Ness Avenue, and then remain on 101 South by turning right onto Van Ness Avenue.
Proceed on Van Ness Avenue / 101 South through five lights and then turn left at the 6th light, which is Broadway.
Stay on Broadway through the Broadway Tunnel, across the major intersection at Columbus Avenue, and all the way to the end where it intersects with The Embarcadero.
Turn right on The Embarcadero and proceed to the next major intersection, which is Washington Street.
Turn right on Washington Street and then turn left at the next intersection, which is Drumm Street.
Proceed on Drumm Street to the 3rd intersection, which is California Street, and turn right.
One California Street is on the left at the next intersection, which is Davis Street.
