Christopher Dillon, Partner Chris Dillon is a Partner in UNION SQUARE ADVISORS. Prior to joining Union Square, Mr. Dillon led the Mergers & Acquisitions practice of Gunderson Dettmer, a leading Silicon Valley law firm, from 2000 to August 2007. Mr. Dillon began his legal career in the New York office of Shearman & Sterling in 1988 and became a partner in the firm’s M&A group in early 1997. Shortly thereafter, he moved to the Bay Area to lead Shearman & Sterling’s west coast M&A practice. Mr. Dillon has nearly 20 years of experience in structuring, negotiating and executing complex transactions. He has represented numerous private and public company acquirers and target companies, as well as clients engaged in strategic investments and partnerships, cross border transactions, spin-offs, leveraged buyouts and restructurings. Mr. Dillon serves as a member of the Board of Editors of The M&A Lawyer , is co-author of The Acquisition and Sale of the Emerging Growth Company: The M&A Exit and has been a panelist at numerous professional forums relating to M&A topics. Mr. Dillon received his J.D. from Boston College, where he was an editor of the Law Review, and his B.S. (Accounting), Summa cum Laude, also from Boston College. Prior to beginning his legal career, Mr. Dillon was a Certified Public Accountant. Mr. Dillon is Vice-Chair of the Board of Trustees of the St. Matthew’s Episcopal Day School in San Mateo, CA. |
