Gelila Bekele is Head of AI Strategy at Union Square Advisors. Prior to joining the firm, she worked as a search fund entrepreneur and as a Director at a software holding company that acquires and scales vertical market SaaS businesses.
Gelila started her career at BlackRock’s Multi Asset Investment Strategies and Solution group partnering with the world’s largest sovereign wealth funds, foundations, and endowments. Gelila has published studies on technology businesses with Harvard Business Review that are taught in Stanford’s flagship entrepreneurship courses, covering IPOs, M&A, and venture capital fund formation.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics and Computer Science from Columbia University and an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.
